Himmer's sequin graffiti adorns run down and dreary areas of Reykjavik, yet the intention of her artwork is not to simply brighten up the city. Her sequin graffiti which is made up entirely of artificial materials, acts as a powerful critique on the damage being done to Iceland's environment, with designs featuring motifs such as melting glaciers and lava which drips from the roofs of the city's buildings.
